The ZunBit AI risk engine — explained the way a regulator would want it explained.
Risk is the first thing we built. Not the last. This page is a complete, non-sanitised explanation of how we handle the money that passes through our platform.
Capital pools
Every ZunBit account is divided into two accounting pools from day one: Deposited Capital (your original funding) and Trading Profit (realised + unrealised gains). Each pool has its own drawdown threshold, measured in percentage of pool value. When either threshold trips, trading halts across your entire account — not just that pool.
Default thresholds
- Deposited Capital pool: 20% drawdown → auto-pause
- Trading Profit pool: 30% drawdown → auto-pause
Thresholds can be tightened in the dashboard but cannot be loosened beyond the platform-wide safety cap (25% / 40%).
The pause workflow
- Threshold breached.
- All pending orders cancelled instantly.
- Request-to-close sent for open positions.
- Written explanation generated and emailed to you.
- 24-hour cooling-off period before restart option appears.
What a pause does NOT do
A pause is not a guarantee you cap your losses at the threshold. Markets gap. Spreads widen. Brokers can fail to fill at the price you expect. The pause is a strict operating rule — not an insurance policy. You remain exposed to execution risk, slippage, counterparty risk at the broker, and all normal market risk.
Risks you keep when you use ZunBit
- Market risk. Prices move. Models can be wrong. You can lose capital.
- Model risk. No AI model is perfect. Regimes shift. Edge decays.
- Execution risk. Orders may fill at different prices than displayed.
- Counterparty risk. Your deposit sits with the broker. If the broker fails, local investor-compensation schemes apply (ICS, FSCS, CIPF, etc.).
- Technology risk. Outages, network delays and bugs are possible — we publish our uptime at status.zunbitai.com.
What ZunBit AI does to reduce those risks
- Dual-pool accounting with hard-coded drawdown pause.
- Pre-trade liquidity and risk-cost gates.
- Monthly model-performance review and retirement of degraded models.
- Mandatory 24-hour cooling-off after any pause.
- Transparent monthly performance report shared with members.
Not advice
Nothing on this platform is personal investment advice. ZunBit AI is a technology provider, not an advisor. You remain fully responsible for every trade you authorise. If you need advice, consult a licensed financial advisor in your jurisdiction.
Risk tooling only works if you respect it. Our job is to make it hard to lie to yourself.
